Upgrade from Paper to Plastic Playing Cards

I have recently decided paper playing cards just are cutting it for me anymore. The plastic coating rubs off or the cards just tear and bend after several games of poker. It was really putting a damper on my poker nights when we had to end the game because the paper playing cards couldn’t keep up with us. Then someone suggested that I give plastic playing cards a try and now I won’t go back to paper playing cards. At first I was a little caught off guard by the cost but then I realized I was saving money because plastic playing cards will last for years with proper care. There are many brands of plastic playing cards that you can look into like Kem, Copag, Modiano and many more. You won’t have any trouble find a deck of plastic playing cards that suits you.

Felt Layout Options

If you are lacking space in your home or you just don’t see the point in paying large sums of money for a poker table then you should look into felt layouts. There are tons of them for all kinds of different casino games not just poker. They are also relatively inexpensive and usually pretty small so you can just place them on your table or another idea is to staple it to a piece of plywood then you have pretty much made your own table. If that is a little to simple for you, you can always make your own table then place your felt layout on it. Just because you can’t afford a fancy poker chip table doesn’t mean you can’t have one.

With the exception of the Main Event final table, the 2010 World Series of Poker has been complete for about a month.  The excitement will start to air on August 10th when ESPN begins to show main event footage.  You can expect the November final table to be exciting and fun to watch, since previous years with this format have proven to be a success.

The 2010 World Series of Poker schedule ran for over one full month ,beginning on May 28th of this year and ending July 5th.  With this long schedule, many die hard poker players that don’t already live in Las Vegas, generally relocate to Vegas for the length of the World Series.  Now that is taking your chosen profession seriously.

WSOP Europe 2009 Tour

Filed under: World Poker Tour — Tags: — admin @ 2:10 pm

A winner has been declared; Canadian Erik Cajelais won £104,677 and his first WSOP bracelet at the WSOP Europe Tour 2009 Final Table event. This was a tremendous victory for Cajelais, after coming in second in the 2007 World Series of Poker event where he was defeated by Burt Boutin. After the win Cajelais was all smiles “I had to do everything to win and today I played well and the cards came out my way.” I am sure we will be seeing more from this poker pro at future events.

Unfortunately, the all time poker legend and on-line poker entrepreneur, Howard Lederer finished in 9th place. Well, Howard has had his time with many wins and has two WSOP bracelets of his own to show for it. Congratulations to all the Final Table players that is quite an accomplishment.
