Build Your Own Poker Table
Having a hard time finding a poker table that you love? Those tables are pretty expensive and you’re going to have to use it all the time and they are usually pretty big so they are hard to miss, if you aren’t absolutely sure about a certain one you shouldn’t get it. It is a big decision but if you are crafty and know exactly what you want in a poker table maybe you could make your own. I know that probably sounds crazy but there are all kinds of supplies you can get that will make it easy and since you will be making it, it will completely unique no one will have it.
You will of course need to build your table and depending on its size you can then buy your felt or speed cloth. This is a very important factor because you want your cards to glide on your table and you don’t want fuzz balls all over your table to interfere with your game. There are also great felt layouts you can get that already have your favorite game pre-stamped on them all you have to do is place them on your table. There are many different types of felt layouts that come with many different games. I love Blackjack it’s a simple casino game that everyone can play are there are tons of felt layouts that come with a Vegas style layout printed on the felt, some even are double sided like the Craps and Blackjack 2 sided layout. That’s a great deal all you have to do is pick which game you want to play and put it on that side and you are ready to go.
Once you have the table built and decided what type of table it’s going to be it is time to get a few basic supplies to make everyone more comfortable playing at your table. Chairs would be a start so everyone can relax and sit down, there are man chairs made specifically for poker that are double padded and luxurious. They come in many different colors and some are even cigarette and match resistant which can come in handy. Or if you made a Texas Hold’em table you might want to get a padded rail. Making your own table may sound difficult but it is worth it if you are a true game lover.
