If you are going through decks of cards way to fast you should upgrade from paper to plastic playing cards. I know I had trouble keeping paper cards for more than a couple games and it is just unreasonable to go out and buy new decks of paper cards all the time. Then I made the switch to plastic cards and I am never going back they last way longer and in the long run you are saving money, they may seem more expensive at the time but if you play cards all the time then you know how costly paper cards can get. This application will only work within the state of Nevada, but this is just one example of how technology is advancing and helping the gambling world.

If you are looking not to spend to much money on a pack of cards just get some Bicycle 100% plastic playing cards they are just as good and they offer a paper-like feel so its wont be to much of an adjustment from paper to plastic with these cards.

After much talk and activity we finally decided to host another home poker game for our friends.  The guys were really anxious to play, since it had been a while.  Without much consideration at all it was decided to turn the event into a cookout also.  There is just something about the nice spring weather that makes you want to get together with friends and grill out.

This is where things begin to go sideways.  We had not used the gas grill in ages and it had been mostly outside, but under it’s vinyl cover.  We still had 2 weeks until the event, so I decided to test the grill and to get the propane bottles refilled.  Boy am I glad that there was plenty of time until the poker tournament.  The grill needed a couple of parts and it took about a week and a half to get them.  Finding the parts online was not too hard after finding a good gas grill parts website.  Sure is amazing what you can do with the internet these days.

Anyway, the cookout was a big success and the poker tournament was big fun.  So much fun, that we have another one scheduled for next month.
